The Housing system in Lord of the Rings Online was designed to be a personal space for players to commemerate accomplishments and decorate it based on thier own personality. Players would purchase a home in an instanced neighborhood and could visit, decorate it and store items in it. They could also visit other friends and member of thier Kinship. Additionally, player kinships (guilds) could purchase a kinship home that could be decorated and used for kinship storage.

I worked with the design team to create a user experience where players could purchase a home. Once purchased, the player could visit it, set permissions, pay upkeep fees and puchase additional storage. After wireframing the inital design, I created mock ups for each sub-system and then integrated the artwork from those mock ups into a functional prototype.
